Olympic question: judges?

how do you get a judge for the olympics? wouldn't everyone be somewhat impartial due to living in a participating country? also, who picks the judges?

  1. well for swimming there r no judges when the touch the wall a sensor says who got 1st 2nd and 3rd. not judges


  2. Expert judges from major participating countries. If you get the right coverage (I believe the BBC does) it will give you the score each judge gives with a flag for the judges nationality next to it.

    The result is an average of those scores.

    Edit: Each judge has to have an account for all deductions written down and it must be available to the participating athletes at the end of the competition phase.

  3. Judges and referees are picked by the International Federations of each sport.  They are scheduled so that they do not rule on their own country, or at least that's the plan.
