Olympics 2008, When is Wushu?

Hi does anybody know when the Martial Arts start at the olympics?

There is a wushu tournament held in Beijing while the Olympics is going on from August 21-24. It is not even a demonstration sport, nor will any of the 15 gold medals on offer count towards the official medal tally. Not sure if any countries outside of China will broadcast this tournament or even publicise it. If you do want to see it, it is being broadcast on CCTV-2 if you are in China, or if you have satellite TV.

wushu? theres no wushu in the olympic games

if you're talking about martial arts, the judo competitions ended a few days ago, but the taekwondo competitions are gonna come soon.

Wushu is not on the programme.  However, there was a World Championships that was hosted the week before the games started.

Martial Arts in the Olympics:

Judo ended Friday.

Wrestling ended Saturday.

Boxing wraps up today, I think.

Fencing ended last Thursday or Friday.

However:

Taekwondo starts tonight (tomorrow morning in Beijing).
