Andy Murray willing to secure the next golden challenge at Olympics 2012 - Tennis News
Andy Murray, the 25-year-old right handed Scotsman, topped the tennis charts with his ever growing zeal and is now eyeing the Olympic gold medal being held in the Great Britain. The young Scot has shown a very consistent
graph ever since his starting and is ready to bounce back after his defeat at 2012 Wimbledon to Roger Federer.
Andy secured the number one spot amongst his fellow British player and acquired the title of runner-up in the four Grand Slam championships. He was entitled as the ‘young sports personality’ back in the 2004 and has acquired
a huge fan following ever since then. Murray started his success story by defeating the world class champions like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal during his 2009 campaign in Abu Dhabi. The Briton has an excellent winning history as he maintains a consistent
graph of impeccable sweeping hits in his career. Out of a total of 18 Grand Slam matches, Murray has an outstanding 15 in his kitty in this season.
Many critics believe that Murray is the most successful candidate to secure the Olympic title against the defending champion Nadal. However, the competition is to believe to be relatively fierce for the Scot than before,
as athletes like Nadal, Federer and Serbia's Novak Djokovic have won a total of 33 Grand Slams between them.
The Scotsman is believed to be very confident in his take and is in full form to strike and beat the odds. The 25-year-old is recently been trained by Ivan Lendl as the player himself admits that his performance has considerably
improved, “Ivan Lendl has been a massive help since taking over as my coach in January, especially when it comes to keeping cool, dealing with high-pressure situations. He's made a big difference in the way I prepare for the majors, which is something I felt
I needed or was maybe missing. Things are going in the right direction, but there's much more to come”.
The British fans are very enthusiastically supporting their only star. Murray has, however, hovered over the deep water for quite some time now but has never managed to break through the ice. If we strategically analyse the
game then the pressure on all the players is relatively equal and hence making it the most distinguished match for times to come.
Hence, tennis event at London Olympics indeed remains an open gamble for fans to vouch for!
