Olympics 2012: Our opening ceremony?

How will we compete, Beijing were amazing we obviously have to put a lot of work on the news today they said our budget is low so we have to cut down on spending. How do you think we could open? What would be a good representation of our nation?

By the time it gets to 2012 I don't think anyone will be able to afford to go as it will be way over budget and the tickets will be silly prices.

We would be better off having a big concert with maybe half a dozen bands and the money goes to charity.

Why is it when they do the opening ceremony you get countries you have never heard of like 'Madeupistan?'

Don't be too awestruck by the Beijing opening, as good as it was, let's just say, excellent, a lot of it was computer generated and not real at all.

As you can see the pyrotechnic team have been working flat out in Dave's back yard somewhere near Befnal Green.  It will be okay on the night and a bit bigger, said Dave, when asked by a delighted BoJo.  This is just the practise run see.

London are going to do it with style.

China went for the old and respected aspect of sport and you can tell that London are going to go with youth. That's the way they won the bid in the first place.

Personally I can't wait for we Brits to show the rest of the world what we are capable of.

Don't know, don't care.  As I've said before IMHO the Olympics in London will just be another burden on the poor British citizen.  I'm sure the government will come to the rescue with our taxes as usual, so we have to contribute.
