Olympics - 3rd in the medals table - GB or Russia??

Question

Who do you think will be in 3rd place at the end of the olympics? Can GB hold the place or will Russia (or someone else!!) pip them to the post....

Answers based on some knowledge of the events/countries/athletes would be good, but just have a guess if you're as ignorant as me.

well GB is doing so good right now, but I would say russia, not because they are better... but because they usually do come in 2nd or 3rd... so yea

GB are currently third with 17 gold medals and Russia has 16 gold.

GB and Russia both have a lot of opportunities so at this stage it could be anyone. Australia has about 8 - 10 gold medal chances left so they could be the one who pips them both at the post!
