  1. Well they do it to get the chemicals off them that might be slippery when wet.  They take a shower get dry and prepare for the next dive.  They get slippery when the chemicals stay on and they need to be dry or there  hands will slip and they will s***w up there rutine.

  2. Any news source and an actual olympian have said its to keep warm between dives so their muscles don't tighten up because the olympics is a cold venue

  3. to keep the muscles warm..

  4. To wash off the chems....but I like to think they're doing it for my own fetish (watching ugly women in the show)

  5. Most people inaccurately think it's to stay warm. It's actually to wash off the pool chemicals between dives. They use the Jacuzzi to keep warm. Most swimming pools air temperature is 85-90 degrees and you'll sometimes see divers sitting between dives in nothing but their suits so this is a myth.

Although the pool temperature for many competitions is around 80 degrees they are only in the water less than 10 seconds.

    Hope this helps.

    Enjoy!
