Olympics Gold Medals?

Question

Who will win the most Gold Medals? I am sure most of us are from the USA so try to keep answers unbiased and detailed. (bad answer example= USA) (Good Answer Example= USA, because we have the best .... and this athlete is .... and ....)

China is 7-19 favorites to win the most gold medals, approximately 73.1%, while the U.S. is 56-19, approximately 25.3%.  The reason is because the U.S. wins a lot of medals from athletics and swimming, but China, as the host country, is competing in all of the events, and are sweeping gold medals in events the U.S. don't compete in very well, such as weightlifting or diving.

China, they are running away with it.  They have a 7 Gold lead over the US.

The USA will, because track and field hasn't even started yet, Phelps, Coughlin, Hoff, and other swimmers have more events to go, and Shawn Johnson and Nastya Lyukina each have shots at carrying one or two individual gymnastics events, not to mention the all-around competition.

Although USA will probably win most of the swimming events, I think China will win the most Gold Medals since they are dominating in several fields of sports (Diving, Gymnastics.... etc.)

United States will take the most gold and total medals because they dominate in rich medals sports like swimming and track and field.Also United States is good in almost all sports in the Olympics while China although competing in all sports they are not good in all of them.

china will win the most gold medals because if they don't, then some legs will be broken. It will be a national embarrassment for the pride of the motherland, if the athletes don't take gold. I know that, because I am Chinese, and maybe I will also join in the leg-bashing if we don't win the most gold medals.

I think China will win the most gold medals because there are more events that they are the powerhouse but have not been given away medals yet like badminton and table tennis where from those two categories alone it is possible for them to win 10 more gold medals. And they already 10 gold medals advantage.  Anyway I believe the USA will give them a good fight until the end. Let the best team win.
