Olympics Womens Gymnastics?

Is it just me or do all the women Gymnastics look like they are 12 to 16 years old (i know the usa chick who won good is 18 but i couldnt tell)

Also did all the women Gymnastics wear makeup and if so how come

Some of the Chinese girls are 13 years old.  16 is supposed to be the cutoff.

There is a debate going on about the athletes ages.  They are doing an investigation, because it is suspect that the Chinese girls are under the age of 16.  You are allowed to be 15, however, you have to be turning 16 this year.  So it only remains to be seen if the girls are younger than the cut off.  Without knowing, we must remember that Asian women are built differently from other women.  They are usually smaller in stature and have a more petite frame.  So it is very possible, that these girls are of the correct age and are just small.  Either way, they are all d**n good athletes.  I couldn't imagine doing half the stuff they do.  Yes, they do wear make up.  Its called stage presence.  Most people who perform wear some type of make up.

They also look young because they are usually smaller than an average sized woman. Gymnastics is a sport that favors small people. They don't have height and long limbs that can get in the way.

the reason like china is winning at that is because chinese people are already small, but 12 year old chinese girls are especially small

Lots of them really are that young.  Gymnastics is very much a young woman's game.  I think by the time they reach their twenties they're no longer bendy enough (or something like that).

And yes, they usually do wear make up because part of the sport is about balance and poise, rather than speed or strength.  So looks are more important than in track and field.

The Chinese girls look like they're about 12 or so, even if the Chinese deny it.

They're wearing makeup because they're on stage.  Its very much like theatre.

most of them did look that young and yes most of them wore makeup.  why?  because they wanted to and probably thought it made them look older.  

how come only two MEN whined and filed complaints about not getting the gold even though they were definitely older than 18?  Just curious...

It's because they had poor nutrion when they were going through puberty so never developed properly.
