  1. AWESOME Idea! I'd love to see that 10lb 6oz He Kexin (the underage Chinese gymnast) wrestle Carlos Boozer... In fact, I'd PAY to see that.

  2. haha, that would certainly make it interesting

but something about seeing a weightlifter doing beach volleyball doesn't sound quite is fun to watch

  3. PMLROF we may get more medals E like it x

  4. no because no one would be good and it would be all a big joke. yes, fun for like the first minute, but wheat happens then?

  5. much more. But china would fix it....

  6. Yes, I agree

  7. That would be awesome!! Definitely more fair too.

  8. No

  9. actually yes

  10. Wow, that would be cool.  Why didn't I think of that?

I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen, though.  I'd suggest maybe a new Olympics all-around event where you have to play a little bit of everything, though.  Perhaps do individual bits of team sports (like shoot free throws or return volleyballs?) No, not like the decathalon and such -- I mean more broad than even that, and where you're assigned maybe 20% of the possible sports for this competition at random the night before.  I guess you'd have to give everyone the same sports for fairness issues, although it'd be even more interesting if not.

  11. Great idea. :-)

yes, it would be more fun. But since when have the Olympics been about fun???

The Olympics have always been about the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, about high stress, about boycotts, about kidnappings, about humiliating adorable little Chinese girls because they aren't photogenic enough (but can sing like a bird), about passing nine year old Chinese girls off as 16, about turning East German women into men ...

    Get with the program, man!

  12. Yeah, might be interesting!!!!!

Would love to see the weightlifters breaking the asymmetric bars!!!!
