There are countless Olympics games that have been either traumatic, devastating, and controversial. Can anyone make a list of the Olympic games and their Controversies. Berlin, Moscow, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Now these games. Help me out!!

    1980 - American boycott

    1984 - Soviet boycott

    1972 - Terrorism

    1936 - Staged in n**i Germany


  2. The Olympics is the perfect stage for controversy. Different countries and races competing to be the best, often in judged events, all with the potential for illegal substances and other rules infractions.

  3. The Munich, Germany games in the 1970's where terrorists broke in and murdered a number of Isreali athletes. That was big. The Atlanta games where the bomber blew someone up. I think one person died. That hurt the games. Added-American runner Jesse Owens, a black athlete, won gold medals in Germany in front of Adolph Hitler. Jimmy Carter, the President ordered the boycott of the 1980 Olympics in Russia.
