Olympics and Politics should be separate?

Should the Olympic Games be awarded to North Korea or Sudan if they bid?

If yes, why, and if no, why not?

It isn't going to happen. The Olympics are nothing if not a political event and they are controlled by the global capitalist elites.

How can they be separate?, politics is life and all those who participated in the olympics are just selfish and have no interest in the freedom of Tibet, Burma, Zimbabwe etc etc or even the Chinese people themselves!.

The only politics allowed at the olympics is fervent nationalism. It is little wonder that the olympics are played and thrive at the very same time that the world is on the brink of WWIII

yes they should be seperated, i think it should go to the country with the best resources/facilities to hold the games, to give the athletes the best venues and look after them, whichever one should be chosen should be chosen for those reasons.
