Does participation in the olympic games have any influence on players' ATP rankings?

  2. yes, 400 to the gold medal winner... the points will make a bigger difference to the lower ranked players, obviously...

    the thing about the olympics is that next year everyone drops the points they collected... no such thing as defending them in 4 years' time...

    Gold Medal - 400

    Silver Medal - 280

    Bronze Medal - 205

    Loser 3rd/4th - 155

    Quarterfinals - 100

    Round of 16 - 50

    Round of 32 - 25

    1st Round - 5
