  1. hmm, I am not sure who will be playing for Russia but I would imagine Kuznetsova and Dementieva would be definitely playing since they are the 2 highest ranked Russian players. If Safina does play then I think the Russians have a great chance of taking two medals since Safina is on fire right now on the hard courts and Kuznetsova is one of the best hard court players on the tour.

Also, Dementieva won a silver medal at the 2000 Olympics so if all 3 players are playing, I think Russia has a slight chance to win all 3 medals.

Sorry for the edits. Upon research, I discovered that Kuznetsova is the only woman playing for the Olympics for Russia. I don't know if they haven't named someone to replace Sharapova or if Kuznetsova is the replacement. The males are Davydenko and Mikhail Youzhny.

  2. Hi!

    I have a face!

    Do you have a face?

Give me a thumbs up if you have a face!

  3. Women:

Singles: Dementieva, Kuznetsova, Safina, and Zvonareva.  (Safina plays in place of Chakvetadze who pulled out because she felt she was out of form, and Zvonareva is playing for Sharapova, who pulled out because of injury).

    Doubles: Safina/Kuznetsova, Vesnina/Zvonareva

    Men:

Singles: Andreev, Davydenko, Tursunov, and Youzhny.

    Doubles: Andreev/Davydenko

Yeah, the Russian women have a great chance; they have three top ten players playing, could easily win all of the medals.  However, the Serbs and the Williams sisters are also good contenders, but I'm guessing that at least one medal goes to a Russian.  For men, well frankly I don't see them winning any (for singles, anyway).

  4. Im not sure but i think russia will do well
