Olympics gold medal question?

When a basketball team wins in the Olympics, do the medals they win count as one gold medal winning or does it count as 12 gold medal winnings (because they each got a medal) ????

  1. It was only ONE win, so they only count ONE medal.

    But wasn't it great to see America beat those racist Spaniards? Yeah!
