Reading up on the upcoming, I have come to wonder... Are the olympics going to affect the atp rankings?? Rather will players be earning points if they win... If so, how does it work for the confusing 12 month point rotation the atp has now

  2. No, the Olympic game doesn't effect any rankings either in WTA or ATP..

  3. WILL NOT EFFECT ANY RANKINGS...

  4. Actually yes they wil affect rankings.

According to the ATP, Ranking points will be issued for wins at the Olympics this year.

  5. no, it does not affect their rankings of WTA or ATP...they are just trying to bring the gold back to their country (GO USA!) :D

  6. Although many of the top players on both the WTA and ATP tours have entered the Olympic Draw, there will be no points awarded.  However, during the week of the tennis tournament in Beijing, there is a professional tournament on the ATP tour: The Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington, D.C.  It is part of the U.S. Open Series, and players entered in that tournament include Andy Roddick, Marat Safin, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Mardy Fish, Feliciano Lopez, Tommy Haas, Donald Young, and John Isner.
