Olympique Lyon beat AS Nancy 4-0 in a Ligue 1 encounter at the Stade Gerland on Friday evening. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miralem-Pjanic-c25984 and Jimmy Braind scored in a comprehensive victory for the hosts. Lyon moves up to second in the Ligue 1 table with the win and remains four points adrift of the leaders Lille.
Claude Puel made three changes to his starting line-up that beat Saint-Etienne 4-1 last weekend. Reynald Lemaitre replaced Massadio Haidara as a left back.
The hosts started the game in an attacking fashion as they dominated the possession and created a lot of openings in the early minutes. The first real chance of the game fell to the hosts, when Delgado surged into the box and after wrong footing two defenders he saw his shot blocked by the defence. The fourth goal was easily the best of the lot, as Lyon cruised to 4-0 victory against a lacklustre Nancy.
Olympique Lyon plays their next match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champion’s League on 22nd February at home. Nancy host Marseille in their next fixture on 27th February.
