Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastien Bassong is reportedly attracting the interest of Ligue 1 sides Olympique Lyonnais and LOSC Lille who are seeking defenders in the January transfer window
Reports in French media claim that Ligue 1 giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 and LOSC Lille are keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastien Bassong.
Reigning Ligue 1 champions, Lille are currently facing a defending crisis with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Montenegro-c2959 international Marko Basa out injured for a long time. Coach Rudi Garcia is keen on bringing a new defender this January and sees Bassong as a perfect addition to the
squad.
Olympique Lyonnais on the other hand, have been in the market for a new centre-back. Initially, Les Gones were keeping tabs on UAE international Hamdan Al-Kamali. However, a move is yet to materialise but Remi Garde has now identified Bassong as the player
he wants.
Sebastien Bassong on the other hand, has been confined to a mere peripheral role at the English Premier League side and is also keen on moving away from the White Hart Lane in a bid to revive his career.

While talking about Lyon and Lille’s interest, Bassong admitted that the two clubs are the biggest in France.
“Lyon has a reputation. It’s a big club, a stable club. I know of Lille as well, I have a friend who plays there, Aurelien Chedjou,” said Bassong but did not say anything further.
Though it still remains to be seen what the future holds for him, Bassong has made it clear that he wants to resolve his future as soon as possible and has clearly sent a signal to manager Harry Redknapp of his desire to let him go if he is not a part of
his plans anymore.
