http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 and Olympique de Marseille battle out for Younes Belhanda – Ligue 1 news
According to reports in French media, Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyonnais and Olympique de Marseille are gearing up to battle out for the services of highly rated Moroccan international Younes Belhanda.
Belhanda, currently on the books of Montpellier Herault, has been touted as the next http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863 with the club’s president Nicollin Loulou admitting that the club might find it hard to hold on to the 21-year-old midfielder.
“He still lacks a little something but he will be even stronger than Eden Hazard and we will struggle to keep him,” Loulou said while talking to the media.
According to reports in francefootball.fr, Olympique Lyonnais and Olympique de Marseille are looking to recruit the exciting midfielder by the end of this summer’s transfer window. Reports further suggest that Lyon have already contacted Montpellier about
Belhanda.
Though http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 are financially constrained this summer, Les Phoceens are still willing to take their chances on the young midfielder.
Lyon have been keeping tabs on AJ Auxerre’s defensive midfielder Delvin N’Dinga all summer and have so far failed to bring in the 23-year-old to the Stade Gerland. However, Lyon might double their efforts in brining Belhanda to the Rhone club.
Olympique de Marseille might also start serious business in terms of signing the youngster if they are able to sell Lucho Gonzalez, a player who has been linked with a move away from the Stade Velodrome all summer.
Lyon’s interest in the services of Ligue 1’s most promising player can be considered surprising as Les Gones already boast the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416 in their side. Furthermore, recruiting a defensive midfielder is Remi Garde’s priority
so the French tactician might not be that keen on signing a new midfielder.
Though Belhanda is under contract at Montpellier until 2014, his rapid rise in Ligue 1 could see the player leave Stade de la Mosson this summer for either Lyon or Marseille.
Montpellier are currently on top of the Ligue 1 standings with nine points from three games and Belhanda has scored two goals for his side. The Moroccan is a future prospect and could end up playing for one of the top four football clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 this season
if Montpellier are not able to hold on to him.
