Olympique Lyonnais looking to offload Lazio target Ederson – Ligue 1 news
Reports in the Rhone district suggest that Ligue 1 giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 are looking to offload Brazilian international Ederson this summer.
During the official presentation of Remi Garde as the new coach of Les Gones, the club president Jean-Michel Aulas said that he is looking to offload four players. Ederson is now reportedly among those players who are likely to leave Stade Gerland this summer.
Though the 25-year-old’s 2010/2011 season was cut short by injury, the Brazilian is still expected to leave the club with a good price as he is vastly experienced and a versatile midfielder.
Ederson’s agent admits that the player has been under the radar of Serie A side Lazio for a long time. While talking to the media, the agent said, “Lazio have never been so fortunate to sign Ederson. Never before has Ederson been this close to (joining)
Lazio, the club has been following him for a long time.”
However, just like Olympique Lyonnais, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 must sell before they can buy which means that the Aquile will have to finance the move for Ederson by selling one or may be more players.
A fee in the region of 10 million Euros is believed to be enough to land the talented midfielder. Furthermore, Lyon are already looking to offload the former Juventude man so Lazio might find it easy to sign Ederson this time around.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ederson-c11880 joined French Ligue 1 side Nice from Brazilian club Juventude in 2004 and made 91 appearances and scored 16 goals for the club between 2004 and 2008. In January 2008, the player moved to Lyon for a fee believed to be worth 14 million Euros.
In the 2009/2010 season, Ederson saw a change in his position. During his time at Nice, the Brazilian was usually deployed as an attacking midfielder. However, under the then Lyon coach Claude Puel, Ederson was often found down the wings.
So far, Ederson has scored 9 goals in 65 appearances for Les Gones but could not help Lyon much in the now-concluded 2010/2011 Ligue 1 season in which Les Gones finished third in the final standings. Though the club is looking to offload him, Jean-Michel
Aulas must reconsider his opinion about the player as he was one of the most consistent players for Lyon before an injury ended his season.
