http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 coach, Remi Garde put his faith on young academy player Clement Grenier at the start of the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 campaign and the young midfielder has not disappointed at all according to Lyon assistant coach
Some attribute to him the brilliance of former AC Milan and Real Madrid star Kaka. Some take him for a young version of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416. The player himself on the other hand, prefers to smile and hope to one day, follow in the footsteps of the Brazilian.
Arrived at the Stade de Gerland six years ago, Clement Grenier has become a player for the future. The 21-year-old was given his first-team debut by former Lyon coach Claude Puel and new coach, Remi Garde has given him even more time to show what he can
do.
So far this campaign, Grenier has made nine appearances and has already been touted for a big future ahead. Things have changed drastically at Olympique Lyonnais in the past few months.
A club that used to splash the cash in the transfer markets of previous years, is now putting more emphasis on its youth academy, the Tola Vologe. Though financial problems have turned Lyon towards the youth academy, it can certainly become a blessing in
disguise.
Remi Garde’s assistant, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bruno-c8098 Genesio has over the years, watched Clement Grenier’s development and is certain that the 21-year-old would go on to make a name for himself in the future.
“He is a player like I’ve never seen in the training centre for years. I like him a lot because when he plays, he brings a lot of solutions to facilitate the link between the midfield and attack. He is able to pass the ball in the first moment and also has
the ability to make a decisive pass. He can also win the ball from an opponent’s feet,” said an enthusiastic Bruno Genesio.
Enjoying life at Lyon, Grenier is keen on keeping both feet on the ground and wants to solely focus on his development. The down-to-earth lad from Annonay feels that talent is not the only thing to go to the top and is willing to work hard to become an integral
player at Lyon and consequently for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
