Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyonnais thought to have secured the services of young Brazilian talent Fernando Amorim but thanks to FIFA, the youngster’s contract is yet to be approved. As the case drags on, the club might lose the starlet to other clubs.
This summer, Olympique Lyonnais struck gold when they secretly signed a future star in the making in the shape of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Internacional-c39573 Porto Alegre where he came through the youth ranks.
The youngster’s ability seduced Lyon scout Florian Maurice and other staff of the Rhone giants who offered the youngster a nice contract. However, FIFA has not yet approved the lease of the Brazilian which means that the midfielder is yet to play a single
game for Les Gones.
Mr. D’Affonseca, who is a former judge and is currently the player’s lawyer, is certainly not happy with FIFA’s attitude towards his client’s case.
While talking to the media, he said that the TAS are yet to appoint a tribunal for Amorim’s case and said that it is FIFA and UEFA’s main responsibility to take a look at what’s happening. D’Affonseca also blamed the UEFA and FIFA for favouring TAS and used
the term “pseudo-justice” for the case.
D’Affonseca went as far as suggesting that he is now going to take the case to the civil court and is confident about the outcome of the case.
“Fernando has been legally emancipated under the laws that govern a democratic country. My client now has the right to sign for any club in the world. FIFA does not respect the law and this act must be punished,” said an angry D’Affonseca while talking to
footmercato.
D’Affonseca also said that FIFA reached a decision that was not even compatible with the law.
“I exercise a right that is to say that which is to be tried by an independent and impartial tribunal. This is a right guaranteed by Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights. Several letters will be sent to the media, international union of athletes,
leaders of several countries, the Brazilian Government, the World Trade Organisation. Actions will be conducted in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858.”
FIFA’s incompetence and negligence is certainly not going to affect the organisation but would be calamitous for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 who could lose a future star whose career has not even begun.
The likes of Manchester City and Juventus are already smelling blood and could exploit the issue to their advantage which would certainly leave a bitter taste in the mouths of Olympique Lyonnais scouts and staff who are keen to hold on to the unpolished
gem.
