During the official appointment of Remi Garde as the new coach of Olympique Lyonnais, club president Jean-Michel Aulas announced that the club would be looking to sell four players in order to make funds for making new signings.
So far, Les Gones have only managed to sell Jeremy Toulalan to La Liga side Malaga. Bosnia international Miralem Pjanic is one of those players who might be leaving Stade Gerland this summer. The 21-year-old midfielder spent a forgettable 2010/2011 Ligue
1 season after he was consigned to only cameo appearances following the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416 last summer from Bordeaux.
Reports in Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Italian Serie A side Lazio are keen on signing the promising midfielder in order to give more assistance to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hernanes-c16150 in the middle of the park.
Remi Garde seems reluctant to let go of the talented midfielder who was a regular member in the Lyon starting XI before the arrival of Gourcuff. Rumours suggest that Garde is considering setting up a meeting with the former Metz man in order to convince
him to stay at the Rhone club.
Pjanic has been linked with German Bundesliga side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 will have to work hard in order to bring
the youngster to the Italian capital.
Lazio are already linked with a move for another Lyon player, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ederson-c11880 who spent most part of the 2010/2011 Ligue 1 season injured.
Pjanic joined Lyon from Metz in the summer of 2008 on a five-year contract which means that Lyon will not be prepared to let go of the talented midfielder for anything less than 13 million Euros.
So far, Pjanic has made 87 appearances for Les Gones in the league but has been one of the most consistent Lyon players for the past three seasons. Letting the Tuzla-born player go might prove to be a big mistake as the youngster has proven his ability even
during the time when former Lyon coach Claude Puel preferred him over Yoann Gourcuff.
