Deschamps rued missed opportunities and admitted that the team has been in poor form recently. He stated that one point in two games is not enough and that his side has made things difficult after a brilliant season.
“We've just taken one point from two matches, and that doesn't make things any easier for us,” the former Juventus manager was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Frenchman insisted that anything is possible till the end of the season as there are four games till to play for. He urged his side to step up and take their chances. The manager said that the team still has belief and hoped to end the season with the
trophy in his hands.
“There are still 12 points to play for, so it is still possible. But it is tougher than it was a week ago. I still believe in our chances and, as long as it is possible, we will give it a real go,” the former French international concluded.
Didier Deschamps led Marseille to their first League title in 18 years last season. He recently signed a contract extension with the French giants and chose to stay despite interest from Juventus after the Italians had a dismal season last year.
