After nearly three seasons at the club, Olympique de Marseille coach, Didier Deschamps, may end his time at the Velodrome. The club is now keeping tabs on a few coaches in a bid to replace the former Juventus manager
Reports in French media claim that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 could see current coach, Didier Deschamps, walk away from the club when the campaign ends. Didier Deschamps has been at the Velodrome for almost three years now and it seems that he will jump ship
as soon as the season ends.
The former Juventus manager was linked with a move away from the club last summer. However, in the end, Vincent Labrune, convinced him to stay.
Reports now claim that Didier Deschamps despite being faithful to the club’s recent policies, is seemingly growing tired of competing with other teams on a low budget.
Financial circumstances have made Marseille a thing of the past in the transfer window and the Rhone giants are now unable to attract big players.
Furthermore, Marseille’s recent run of results and the Ligue 1 standing means that the Phoceens might not play in the Champions League at all next season.
As things stand, Marseille are languishing in 8th place in the Ligue 1 standings and lead Lille by eight points. Les Dogues are occupying the last Champions League spot and it seems unlikely that Rudi Garcia’s team would be usurped so easily.
Even though if Deschamps is able to guide the club to a Europa League place, his future would also be under a lot of scrutiny.
Under contract at the Velodrome until 2014, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international wants to stay at the club but also knows that his profile will never improve if he stays with a team whose finances are running dry.

During his time with the Rhone giants, Deschamps has won the Ligue 1, Coupe de la Ligue (twice) and Trophée des Champions (also twice) which makes his CV a strong case for joining a big European club.
