Set to lose the services of Cesar Azpilicueta and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alou-Diarra-c5259, the Rhone side is set to make an offer for Lorient FC midfielder, Arnold Mvuemba
Unless there’s a huge turnaround, Spanish international Cesar Azpilicueta and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international, Alou Diarra, will be the first players that leave Stade Velodrome this summer. Although it took some time, Olympique de Marseille’s transfer window has finally
kicked off with Diarra set to join West Ham United and Azpilicueta on the verge of securing a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
L’Equipe claims that in order to fill the void that Diarra’s departure will leave, Elie Baup is looking for a new defensive midfielder. Due to lack of substantial financial resources, Les Phoceens are only going to make moves for inexpensive players.
One of those players is 27-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153 for the past three seasons. However, it now appears that the midfielder is willing to leave Christian Gourcuff’s side in order to seek a fresh challenge elsewhere.
Signing the native of Alencon will have two huge advantages. Firstly, the player has an extensive experience of playing in Ligue 1. Secondly, the player’s release clause is set at just 2.5 million euros meaning that Les Phoceens will not need to spend a
lot of money to convince Les Merlus sell a player who has been an integral part of the squad in recent campaigns.
Regarding a replacement for Cesar Azpilicueta, Marseille are yet to specify specific targets as they are more eager on recruiting a left-back. Last season, Jeremy Morel was disappointing to say the least and Les Phoceens are keen to add a new full-back who
can replace the former Lorient man.
The club is willing to explore the market in South http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 for this and Troyes youngster, Fabrice N’Sakala is another player who might arrive at the Velodrome this summer. The former France Under-17 international has also expressed his desire to leave Stade
de l’Aube.
However, the club first needs to finalise the transfers of Diarra and Azpilicueta with West Ham and Chelsea respectively before they consider making approach for their respective targets.
