Olympique de Marseille keeping tabs on Gremio midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adílson-c3642 – Ligue 1 news
Ligue 1 giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 are keeping tabs on Brazilian midfielder Adilson as they look to improve the team’s midfield ranks ahead of the start of the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 season. Adilson is a defensive midfielder and is currently playing in the
Brazilian league with Gremio. Reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 suggest that Les Phoceens have already made contact with the club officials from Porto Alegre.
After completing the signing of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153, Marseille are looking to add a defensive midfielder to their ranks. In recent times, the club was heavily linked with a move for France international Alou Diarra who
is currently playing for FC Girondins de Bordeaux. However, both clubs have not yet reached a deal over the transfer of the 29-year-old which means that Didier Deschamps and Jose Anigo are keeping their options open in their hunt for a new defensive midfielder.
While talking to the media, Anigo made it clear that the club will not disclose any of their targets and said, “Discretion is required when you are looking to sign a player. If we give names of our targets, other competitors would be given a track to walk
on and they could scout on our targets behind our backs and even steal our moves.”
However, many sports magazines in France suggest that Marseille are already looking for alternatives for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alou-Diarra-c5259 if any move does not materialise. 24-year-old Gremio man Adilson is one of those alternatives according to rumours. Marseille have reportedly
been keeping tabs on the youngster for a long time and are now looking to make a move for him. Adilson’s agent also admits that the youngster is happy to see so much interest in him coming from France. While talking to the media, the Brazilian’s agent said,
“When he (Adilson) found out about their (Marseille’s) interest, he was very happy. So if a concrete proposal arrives he will definitely think about it.”
An amount in the region of 6 million Euros is believed to be enough to lure the midfielder to the Rhone district. Though Gremio might be reluctant to let go of the youngster, the club might have to bend down to the wishes of the player who is keen on making
a move to Europe.
