Olympique de Marseille keeping tabs on Juventus man Mohamed Sissoko – Ligue 1 news
According to reports in France, reigning Ligue 1 champions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mohamed-Sissoko-c26386, in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Mali International has found it hard to break in to the Juventus team
this season and is also keen on making a switch away from the Turin giants in order to revive his career.
The dynamic midfielder has already been deemed surplus to requirements and it has been suggested that Marseille are ready to sign the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mali-c2951 International this June. The Rhone club has been monitoring Sissoko’s situation at Juventus for a long time and consider
the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 man to be a perfect addition to the squad for next season.
Sissoko has already been linked with a host of European clubs this season with Bundesliga sides, Wolfsburg and Schalke 04, also keen on signing the African. Interest within http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 is not unheard of as Fiorentina are also willing to gamble with his purchase.
Marseille coach, Didier Deschamps, is looking to add a few players to the squad in the upcoming transfer window and sees the 26-year-old Sissoko as a good addition to the squad. With a few players likely to leave Stade Velodrome by the end of the current
2010/11 campaign, Deschamps is looking to bring in a few players to his squad in order to make a competitive team ahead of the start of the next season.
It has also been rumoured that the player’s wage demands might prove to be a stumbling block in the move as Marseille might not be able to offer Sissoko a lucrative deal, as a move to the Ligue 1 giants could make the Malian one of the top earners at the
Rhone club. This season, “Momo” has made only 11 league appearances for Juventus and has not been able to command a starting place in the side under manager Luigi Delneri. A move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 might not materialise as Marseille are unlikely to match Sissoko’s
wage demands.
