With the winter transfer window just a day away, Olympique de Marseille are looking to bring in a striker to the Stade Velodrome. However, Jose Anigo might consider going cheap this time around as he seeks to find a short-term replacement for Andre
Ayew
Going cheap is a concept alien to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127. However, owing to their financial situation, the Rhone giants have been forced to wish for cheaper things in the transfer window.
With the departure of Andre Ayew and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Ayew-c19098 to the CAN, Didier Deschamps might be short on strikers especially if Andre-Pierre Gignac is farmed out to Fulham FC. The departure of Gignac might not affect the coach’s plans but reinforcements are a must
if Marseille are to finish the campaign in top 3.
Looking for a cheap striker, Marseille are keeping multiple tracks. The club has already contacted parent clubs of Ibrahima Sissoko, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Borriello-c23672 with the latter rumoured to be on the verge of securing a permanent move to Italian Serie
A giants Juventus from AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603.
So far, Marseille have been unable to make any visible progress. However, things might change for Les Phoceens. Spanish newspaper Marca reveals that the Phoceens have set their sights on the region of Iberia in their hunt for a new striker.
Tunisian international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lassad-Nouioui-c21686 is currently under contract at Spanish Segunda Division club Deportivo La Coruna where he has become an integral part of the side that was deemed to second tier Spanish football at the end of the 2010/2011 La Liga campaign.
The 25-year-old striker has scored seven goals in 18 games this season for Los Turcos and is held in high-esteem at the Iberian club.
The Tunisian also has experience of playing in the Ligue 1 after having played for the likes of Chateauroux and Ajaccio before making a move to Deportivo in 2007.
Furthermore, Nouioui’s contract at Deportivo is set to expire in June 2012 which means that the Spanish club would want to sell the player in the winter transfer window in order to get some profit out of the player.
Marseille might see themselves compete with Nouioui’s former club Ajaccio who are also keen on signing their former player.
