In a bid to find a decent replacement for Cesar Azpilicueta, the Rhone giants are keeping tabs on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186
Ligue 1 strugglers, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 are preparing to lose the services of Spanish full-back Cesar Azpilicueta. The young right-back was one of the few bright sides of an otherwise forgettable 2011/2012 Ligue 1 campaign for Les Phoceens and has expressed
his desire to leave the Velodrome this summer.
The youngster missed out on a place at the Euros for the Spanish national time and wants to join a club where he can stay under the radar of the Spanish national team.
Although new Marseille coach, Elie Baup has the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rod-Fanni-c31402 at his disposal, the former Toulouse coach wants to have an out and out right-back. Fanni is set to sign a contract extension at the Velodrome but Baup wants to have depth in the squad.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 international Miguel Lopes.
The 25-year-old right-back is under contract at Portuguese side FC Porto but spent last season on loan at first Betis and then Braga. Reports now claim that FC Porto are willing to allow the player to leave the club if a good offer comes.
Jose Anigo and Baup are currently weighing their options and have studied the player’s profile. However, so far, no direct contact has been made with either the player or his entourage which means that for now, the story is mere speculation.
Even though if Les Phoceens are seriously interested in signing the player, they are not in a pole position to do so. Reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 have met with the player’s representatives on several occasions.
Miguel Lopes is in the final year of his contract at Estadio do Dragao and Porto will be looking to get at least 4 million euros for the player.
As things stand in financial terms, Les Phoceens need to sell someone before they recruit a new player which makes things more complicated.
