Olympique de Marseille playmaker, Lucho Gonzalez, is reportedly attracting interest from three elite European clubs. It has been suggested that Marseille are looking to offload the Argentine International in the upcoming summer transfer window in order to
ease the burden on the club’s payroll. Though the 30-year-old is under contract at the Stade Velodrome until June 2013, Gonzalez has said that he will abide by the club’s will regarding his future. Marseille are looking to save some money, and the South American
could be forced towards an exit in the process.
Lucho Gonzalez was brought to the club in the summer of 2009 from Portuguese side, FC Porto, for an initial fee of 18 million Euros. While Marseille are not expecting the same amount for the player’s transfer, the Rhone officials are hopeful of getting around
12 million Euros for the player. The Buenos Aires-born Gonzalez is currently attracting interest from Italian Serie A side, AS Roma, La Liga outfit Malaga and is also touted for a return to FC Porto, a club where his European adventure began.
