Olympique de Marseille’s highly-rated winger Andre Ayew not satisfied with his playing position
Olympique de Marseille’s winger Andre Ayew is not satisfied with his current position of play assigned by Didier Deschamps, coach at Stade Velodrome.
Marseille drew with AS Saint-Etienne making it their third consecutive draw of the season in the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 Championelle. The French tactician was quick to voice his disappointment as the team failed to score a single goal in third week of Ligue 1
against Les Verts at home.
After having a good season last year the Ghana international, where he scored 13 goals in 50 appearances. The graduate of Marseille youth academy also scored three goals against defending champions Lille in the Trophee des Champions early this summer.
Ayew is having difficulty in repeating a performance of that calibre. The 21-year-old expressed his disappointment by saying that he was not aligned in his true position at Marseille.
The Seclin-born http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ghana-c2905 national said, “I am neither attacking nor a winger, he puts me in a position that is not mine. I try to do my best myself, but if you are not playing at your preferred position, the results are at times not positive. I look forward
to playing again in the middle."
The former Juventus coach may agree with Ghanaian and place him in the midfield instead of Benoit Cheyrou and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alou-Diarra-c5259.
Andre Ayew has always been used on the left flank by Marseille including last season and a sudden revelation of him wanting to play in the midfield might not persuade the French tactician in changing the composition of the team by removing him from the left
flank.
Andre Ayew was targeted by English Premier League side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 born Ghanaian national as their priority but according to French media if the Gunners were
to propose an attractive offer for the highly-rated winger, there is a possibility that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 might agree in parting with the Ghanaian.
