Olympus C5050 lens

Question

I have an Olympus model C505 about 3 years old and, suddenly and without dropping or otherwise shock, the lens won't open even though it sounds like its trying. There's no troubleshooting information in guide that would indicate if and how the lens would unscrew or otherwise allow access to see what's wrong.
