Olympus FE-340 - Softer focus?

Hi, I have an Olympus FE-340.

I find the photos are often very bright and, for example, can make peoples skin look very white and unnatural. What setting can I change to make the picture softer?

  1. Look at the exposure compensation on the camera. Try -1 to lower the exposure of the pictures taken. It seems that most of your pictures are overexposed. BY the way in taking digital pictures (just like slides or any positive images), you can get away with slightly under exposed images and you can just adjust it in your photo software.

Look at page 14 of manual which i have a link here to adjust exposure compensation. Also try page 6 and adjust according to the scene you are taking/ If it is night, portrait, landscape etc
