Olympus camera is not charging. I bought it from a guy off the internet. He gave me the cord that hooks up to?

the computer but he forgot to give me the one that charges it, I'm going to pick it up tomorrow but I want to use it today so if i hook it up to my computer is that supposed to charge it? Because it's not. And I just put brand new batteries in it.

There aren't many cameras that can pull a charge off the computers USB cable. I am pretty sure that Olympus isn't one of them.

If you put new batteries in the camera, it should be working. I would discuss this with the seller, as it appears he may have sold you a defective camera. There might be something you can do to get it running. Check the battery contacts in the camera. They may need to  be cleaned before the camera will work.
