  1. cheer h10.

    Price: $279.99

  2. I have the olympus 850 and it is a great camera for sports(especially for water sports) but it doesent take that good close up pictures than the sony h10. I would get the sony h10 if your looking into macro. Also the sony h10 is a superzoom class camera and that its similar to an SLR camera!

  3. Given the choices: I'd go for the Olympus.

Picture quality is almost the same for cameras in the same range. Not really noticeable. Any improvements should be done on photoshop anyway. God the number of people I know who end up buying another camera because they dropped it the pool, sea, and floor. I'd get one myself, but I already have 3 before Olympus came out with it.

Sony might have a slight edge for close-ups. Despite what the above lady said. It is a Point&Shoot DSLR look alike, just like the Olympus. It does not function as a DSLR at all. It does NOT even remotely comes close to DSLR.
