Former http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 cricket team manager, Omar Khan, on Monday lavished praise on the Darren Sammy-led squad after they handed a 2-0 Test series whitewash to New Zealand.
The men from Caribbean completed the 2-0 clean sweep with a five-wicket win in the second and final Test against the Kiwis, at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica on Sunday. They earlier won the opening Test at North Sound, Antigua by nine wickets.
Khan said that the West Indies cricket needed one such big victory and urged Sammy and men to use it as platform to build on.
“West Indies cricket needed this,” said the Trinidad and Tobago cricket team manager while speaking to the Caribbean media.

When asked to comment on New Zealand’s performance, the former Windies manager said that their batting let them down all through the series.
“Their batting let them down throughout the series. Their bowlers fought well, however, since the batting failed the bowlers had nothing much to defend.”
Before the 2-0 Test series win, West Indies also outclassed the Kiwis in the T20 series (2-0) as well as in the ODI series (4-1).
