  1. the mom and is accostumed to taking care of eggs and she wouldnt want any harm to come to her little egg.

she will do everything all you have to do is put light where the egg is, keep the place warm, put lot of food and water for mother bird and let her do her thing.

    concragulations.

if my friends saw me congratilating you on an egg they would laugh but i know how great and amazing it feels when seeing that little egg that holds a little life

  2. You should first take it out of the cage!

then go out and buy an inkebater and keep it in there

  3. maybe the mom will take care of its own eggs like how normal birds do. they sit on it and wait for it to hatch. just make sure you feed the mom correctly so there aren't more problems

  4. If there is no male, then the egg will not be fertile.  My advice is leave the egg in the cage for a few days.  Your bird will try to sit it.  When she figures out that it will not hatch, (somehow birds just "know") she will abandon it.  When she does that, take the egg and just throw it away.  Birds lay eggs whether they're fertile or not, especially at this time of year.

  5. Well i dont think u have to worry about the egg the mom bird will sit on the egg and keep it warm. WATEVER U DO DONT TOUCH THE EGG!!

  6. If you just have the one bird, the egg's not fertile. Leave the egg alone until she decides to abandon it.

Taking it out too early can cause her to lay more, which can, in turn, cause her to use up her nutrient stores making her sick or even causing death in some cases. (lack of calcium can lead to egg binding, etc)

Make sure she has lots of good foods (not a seed only diet-- pellets, fresh foods) and has access to a cuttlebone to replace the calcium that went into making the eggs in the first place.

Ideally you don't want the bird to lay for no reason, sometimes they just get stimulated into breeding mode though. Good luck.

  7. cook it,.,.,., no im jokin.,,..im not sure but umm,., congrats.,

  8. Actually if your female bird has not mated with a male bird the egg will not hatch...i had a female parakeet and she layed eggs quiet often...so dont worry...you can leave the egg in the cage and she will take care of it or toss it out when she isnt paying attention...but if it doesn't hatch or anything after awhile don't expect it to bc it wasn't fertilized by a male bird.

  9. if your bird doesn't have a mate, then unfortunately the egg isn't fertilized, whih means there is nothing you an do with this egg, just let the mother roll it around and sit on it and do what she wants. If there is a mate, email me and we'll talk.
