Haha, I'm at it again folks! Okay, so my brother has a bully on his back. And being the evil/protective sister I am, I decided I am going to write a letter to this bully's mom (Dude..It's 3rd grade, but STILL.) At first, I was going to beat the crapping outta this kid....but there are too many witnesses >.>; So my question is, is this a good idea to be writing a letter, or should I talk to them? whatever you choose, What should I say to them????? I mean....right now...It's goodcop/badcop situation

  1. My son is in third grade and I went directly to the parents. I asked the parent to find out what was going on......... I approached it as ...........Timmy (my kid is Timmy) and Johnny haven't been getting along. Timmy says that Johnny has been smacking him upside the head for no reason. Can you talk to Johnny and find out what has been going on. I just want to make sure that Timmy isn't doing something to provoke Johnny.

It totally and completely took care of the problem. The parent was mortified and the child wrote my son a note telling him sorry for his actions.

Get your parents involved. They need to handle this.......  it is their job.  They need to approach the other kids parents and handle it from there first. If the parent isn't willing to take care of the kid then have your parents go to the school officials.

    Good luck!!!!

  2. Go to the parents and tell them, "I just thought you would want to know that your son has been bullying my brother, and I think its gone on long enough.  So far, I've kept my mouth shut, but it's coming to the point where its getting out of hand.  I'm coming to you first before I say something to my parents, but that is my next step if it doesn't stop.  For now I'm giving you chance to help you son."  See what happens and if it doesn't change tell you parents.

  3. i think that is a great idea to write a letter. Tell the boy first to lay off otherwise you will tell. If you have to write List specifics on what happened. Good LUCK

  4. Your the sister, and she's a mom.... she outranks you by a whole lot.

I give it 85% chance the letter will go into the trash before its read all the way through.

Much more effective to have you and a couple of your friends go up to the bully and turn the table so to speak.  You don't have to lay a hand on him, just let him know that big sis knows what is going on and if he ever wants to see fluffy again he better straighten his act out.

Or get your mom to talk to his mom

  5. You need to take you and your brother to the school counselor first.  Also, before you do this you need to get your brother to tell you anything he did while he was involved in these incidences (it takes 2 to tango) - trust me there was something that he did too at some point.  Now, I am not saying it's your brother's fault; all I am saying is that there was a time or times where your brother egged the situation on, even if it was unintentional.

In any event, be ready to list dates and describe the situations (BE HONEST - and DON'T EXAGGERATE).  The counselor will then speak to the kid. Counselor will help the two boys make a plan to get along better.
