Omg...Key Bank is so f****** retarded! Please help!?

Okay, so I am trying to activate my debit card (my first time @ a bank)...the first time I tried to activate it, there was a typo in my social security number and they had to fix it and it was unable to be activated bc of this. So I went in and they typed out the correct number and said everything should be okay. So I called again, it failed AGAIN, and said they needed to verify my social security number (WTF???) so I went in for the THIRD TIME today and they needed to make a copy of my social security card and send it in or some other bullshit and it should be "activated" tomorrow. So now I'm going to have to call or go in for A FOURTH TIME to get this cleared up...all over ACTIVATING A ******* DEBIT CARD!!!

I also deposited a check today, they said they would be able to put it in my acct once my debit card got activated. But I am so scared that they are going to lose it. Can I sue them if they lose my money? I'm tired of all this ******* bullshit! All over 1 ******* typo!

  2. Sorry to hear about all the mix-ups they have made!

    Did you get a receipt from them for the deposit, I realize they can't make it until your account is active (SS discrepancy) but they should still provide you with some documentation that proves you left your check to be deposited there.  If they didn't, I would go back (I know BIG inconvenience) and get one.

    If you continue to have this issue at the least I would get the Branch Manager involved and explain the disappointment you already have with Key Bank, especially being that this is your 1st account.
