  1. Its the law of supply and demand

supply is low and demand is up, so the price goes up.

Even if we conserve and use less gasoline demand will always be there due to developing countries like China and India using more and more as their population buys cars for the first time.

you can expect gas to go up past $5 a gallon this summer

it should calm down in 2011 where the price of gas should drop to around $2.50 a gallon as world wide demand drops and production increases.

  2. Man were do you live! its like 4 here in Cali!

  3. Yes its true, petrol is very expensive in England, its all Tax you know. Now we have a strike on at our main refinery in Scotland, so there are huge cues at the pumps, & the prices are rising fast. Soon they will be rationing it too.

Its all a big con anyway, when i lived in Egypt the price of petrol was about $1, but i guess there's no import tax, lol.

  4. Because the price of crude oil, which gas comes from, is going up in price. So that would make gas prices go up.

  5. I'm beginning to wonder if they are trying to clean up the environment by forcing us to walk or ride our bicycles. It's easier to force us to do that than come up with alternate fuels. Either that, or the oil tycoons are so greedy that they are hitting us up for every cent they can.

EDIT: Holy c**p, Jeff are you kidding me?? 9/gal?

  6. With the price of crude oil hovering around $100 a barrel, it is no wonder that concern is growing about the gas prices being so high. After all, modern economies are kept moving by this lifeblood. For instance, in the United States alone personal vehicles consume more than 140 billion gallons of diesel fuel and gasoline per year. However, there are several factors that contribute to the gas prices being so high.

  7. Don't go to England. its over $9. a gallon  !!!

  8. Yep it is, because the oil companies don't care, and will charge you whatever they want for it! no other reason

  9. because george bush is selling gas more expensive to fund the ''war'' in iraq. think about it. why arent we in darfur saving poeples lives? there is no natural gas there and george bush would have to increase the price in diamonds to support what they would do in darfur.

  10. Gas prices go up because the cost of the barrel of crude goes up. Why is that you might ask? Because we let it. If we said to h**l with all you people price gouging the oil, and we went somewhere else, maybe, umm hey our own?? Maybe it would go down. I don't know. I'm not a Economy Major.

But when the oil runs out and there is no longer any left, I wonder how they are going to line their pockets?

  11. It's all about supply and demand.

With the demand  up and supply down. The price of gas is high.

When the demand is down and the supply is up. The price of gas is low.

Most of the oil comes from the middle eastern countries. They control the supply. They could cut supply enough to force the price of gas $10 , $20  a gallon or more. We depend on their oil. We need to find a way to do without their oil!

  12. The American dollar is losing value so you need more dollars to buy the same thing.

  13. where i live is 3.85 a gallon....its bush fault for all this stupid war he owns oil companies...so hes getting rich while we are desperate for gas!!!
