Omg dude im so pissed help! - math question?

-x to the second power ( little 2 ) + 5 - x; x = 5

i kno ur sposed to subsitute 5 in and i got the answer 25. isnt it 25 but the teacher put -25

The only way that can be -25 is if the x^2 is in brackets: -(x)^2

Maybe the teacher meant to write it that way?

i got -25.

i even used a calculator, ^2 (is to the second power)

but i typed in -5^2+5-5 and it says -25 i even did it TWICE!

so the teacher is rightt its -25.

Im thinking the teacher made the mistake.
