Omg giant rats! says the drunk hobo!?

i was watching a show about "giant rats" and they were talking to a "witness" and he was a hobo that lived under a bridge...he claimed the rat was the size of a cat and it roared at him..and they believed him!? couldn't have been an opossum and have hissed at the drunken fellow? anyone else find this ridiculous?

absolutely ridiculous, you probably could have asked him anything and he would have either played along just to be on tv, and im pretty sure it was a possum that was mistaken as a giant rat in the first place, then got hyped up because some people might not even see the creature clearly as its running away and they just assume "a rat!! its so big!"

some people might not even know what a possum is, especially hobo's

monsterquest right? ya i didnt like this episode..of course there are big rats hanging around but ya i wouldnt take the word of some weirdo who lives under a bridge..i belive they can get big and prolly be a lil mean but i dont think they can get as big as a dog..and ya it prolly was a possum cuz they look just like a rat but bigger (and some what cuter LOL )

Yes. I agree that it's ridiculous as well. It might have been another type of animal that he saw, or, more likely, a total figment of the guy's imagination. A lot of homeless people have psychiatric illnesses, some of which cause them to hallucinate.
