i will just randomley go on sites and the little ads on the side will tell me like single girls in your town and it says the city i live in! how do they access this info. i always use diff ones when subscribing to stuff too.

they search where your IP adress comes From. I'm not sure if it's legal but S**t they are annoying

Hi Brandon!

It's normal. Ads on websites nowadays are smart enough to distinguish the visitor's location. Some say it's Geo-Targeted Ads.

just ignore them and don't click on them. I think that ads are on Pay Per Click system :)

They go by your ip address, all websites can see that, and when it does a 'lookup' type thing on it, it tells them who your provider is and what city/state its in :)  No they don't know your address and they're not stalking you! :P
