  1. Don't take it to a vet unless you plan on paying for it and keeping it. If you just give it to them chances are they will put it down. But if you don't know what you are doing you really should take it to a bird sanctuary. Finding an adult bird is one thing, Baby birds are Extremely hard to take care of, for example if there food is to hot or to cold, and im only talking about a few degrees, it WILL kill them.  Its very expensive to care for baby birds. If you dont know what yout doing and you want it to live take it to a sanctuary. If you do want to try, you cannot leave the house for more than 4 hours at a time and hurry and call a vet, ask what you need to do. Take a run over to a petshop that has birds and ask them what you need. If its a baby it need to eat soon.

  2. feed it apple sauce

  3. Call some of the emergency vets in your area and ask if they know of any animal rehabers in your area...  Good luck!

  4. First of all. Any bird that is caught by a cat should be taken to vet for a good exam and antibiotics. It is free as it is wildlife. They will send it off to a wildlife rehabber. They may even ask you to take it to a rehabber in your area which is also free. but until you can get it somewhere this is what you do. Keep it warm and dry. If it is fully feathered feed it cut up mealworms, earthworms, blueberries cut up very small, berries. Give it shallow cup of water. If it is checked out and they say it is ok to be released then you can bring it back where you found it make sure cat is not around and let it go parents will feed it when it calls if it has not been gone to long. this bird sounds like a fledgling which is a young bird just out of nest who lives on the ground until it learns to fly. They hop and jump and flutter their wings. This is the most vunerable time  for them  as far as getting hurt or killed. Please get to rehabber or vet. Thanks for helping it :)

  5. please find a wildlife rehabber in your area to care for the bird.  It is the only way it will survive.

  6. I suggest you should take it to a local vet,

Most people find a baby robin in the last stage of its

development. It has mostly all it's feathers and a small stub tail. This baby bird more than likely jumped out of it's nest. The mother and father allow the small bird to jump around and strengthen it's wings or a couple weeks still providing food and protection for it. If you're positive that it's been abandoned, recommended feeding it small pieces of wet dog food every 45 min- 1 hour. It's VERY important that the bird eats that often. As a baby, mother spends all day finding food & bringing it back to him. It's also important that the baby bird is in sunlight as much as possible. It helps it develope necessary vitamins. The bird will sleep at night for a good 8 hours if you let it. Just keep it in a warm, quiet, and dark place.
