  1. Well, not using it, won't undo anything that's been done so I say go for it. If you, feel strongly about it, see if you can take it back to the store, if not, no point in wasting money and having dirty hair. I know some of the animal rights activists may not agree with me on this one, But I don't particularly care, I'm all for preventing animal cruelty, but I say use what you've got

  2. Why not give it to a friend? That way, they will buy less animal tested products, it will get used up, and you don't have to feel as guilty.

It's quite easy to look up non-animal tested brands without animal ingredients on the Internet. The BUAV certify brands that are truly vegan. You will find thier logo on the ethical products.

If you fill in this form, the BUAV will send you a little booklet of brands that do not test on animals. My girlfriend has one and it is excellent. Small enough to fit in a purse for when you're out shopping.

    I hope this helps,

    Tim

  3. Well, if you don't use it, then that would be wasteful and the animals would have been hurt just so you can throw out the shampoo. Use them both up, but after that only buy cosmetics and shower products that aren't tested on animals or use animal products.

  4. you might as well use it for now, but try and find something you know isn't tested for next time (or you could use it today, give the rest to your mum and buy something from the Body Shop for yourself).  I know that some big companies do test some stuff on animals but not others - it can be quite a grey area sometimes.  I went on the PETA website and they list companies which do and companies which don't but it is still confusing because you have to then search every item in the shops to see who makes it (and it's not always obvious at first glance).

I use Body Shop where I can but I'm yet to find a toothpaste which isn't tested!

  5. Well the other day I found out covergirl tests on animals, and I dread that, but geez I love their products. Though, they don't test most of their products on animals anymore, which does relieve me. Just use it, you're probably using a lot more animal tested things you don't know of.

  6. Darling, that really is your decision. We all hate the thought of products being tested on animals, especially ones which are for cosmetics and beauty products. However, sometimes without animal testing, medical advances would not be possible and many lives have been saved as a result. We all have different opinions on this subject and I can't say I am happy about animal testing, but I am a realist. If you don't buy and use it, someone else will, so the purpose of boycott is defeated. If you are worried about it, there are some organisations who sell only products which are not tested on animals. You should be prepared to risk the fact that they are untested, on you own body. I have tried the Body Shop products, but I am so sensitive to the very high levels of perfumes and additives that I cannot allow any of it near my skin.

  7. If that is your only worry in the day then you have a boring life. Just use it, why throw it away, the money has already been spent on the product. Not using it now saves nothing.

    Next time buy something different.
