Hi, okay, im just going to get to the point. So, on about July 29th, [[this is very awkward but i dont care!]] i woke up at like 7am and i had to pee really badly. so i went, and got up. but once i did, i felt like i still had to. it went on like this for the whole day, and my mom and grandma said i was probably getting my period [[because it felt alot more like cramping instead, and ive never gotten my period btw, im 13]] && anyway, i used a heating pad, motrin or however you spell the medicine, took warm baths, drank tons of cranberry juice, and it all works. but my problem is, i still feel like it! [but not when i do that stuff] and i STILL feel like this, and today is august 17th. its on and off every few days, and i still havent gotten my period. they also thought it could have been a urinary tract or bladder infection. i took a urine sample at the doctors, and it came in as normal, with only very little blood when tested... they said i was 'becoming a women' so you know that i was probably getting my period. but a while ago, i had an itch 'down there' and so i did, and then, i felt something sticky. it was a shade of brown, and goopy -- like, seriously, this is gross and WAY embarrassing, but i know it wasnt poo, okay? it was like a discharge i guess, but im scared. please help me and tell me what this is [everything, why its still going on, everything, please!] if you've gone through this, and how to make it stop. please. i need more help. :*(

  1. thats your period.......

usually the first time its like that

GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME TO WOMANHOOD!

  2. Girl, it's your period!!!

  3. the brown stuff is your period. My first period was brown too. so It's alright your just getting your period. I was freaked out to but decided to except it. It sounds like you are close with your mom just tell her about it and she'll help you out.

  4. its normal calm yourself

  5. I'd say that this is the very beginning of your menstrual cycle. Lots of girls don't actually "bleed" with their first few periods, especially the very first one. When I got my first period, it was a lot like what you're describing.

    EDIT:

Here's some things that I can think of that will help get rid of cramps:

    - Take a nice, hot bath, with bubbles and all!

    - A hot shower will work too

    - Go for a long walk (have any dogs?)

    - Try yoga or pilates

    - Avoid caffeine!!

    - Use a heating pad

    - CHOCOLATE!!!

    - Avoid salty foods (bloating will make you feel worse)

    - Drink plenty water

    - Take vitamins!! When your muscles (such as your uterus...) are deficient, they're more prone to cramping.

    - Get plenty of sleep at night. And if you need to, take a short nap during the day.

    - Massage yourself where it hurts

    - Take Ibuprofiln (No point in taking Midol, because it's basically the same thing in a fancy package!!)

    - m********e. Orgasms relieve cramps like no other.

    Hope I helped :)

  6. that is just you starting your period. most of the time it starts out as a clot of dark brown stuff, it doesnt usually look like blood the first time. Now idk why it was sooo long but i dont think you have anything to worry about.

  7. thats your period!! congrats- and welcome to the club! lol :) good luck! :D

  8. its either a discharge you get before your period or its your period.

    congrats! :D

  9. i know that this is your period. they usually start brown and goopy and gross. welcome to womanhood and congrats! now go tell ur mom and get pads or tampons or whatever u like and celebrate

  10. Lol omg don't freak out horribly! i went through this and it's really not that bad. That brown goopy stuff is discharge and all it means is that you're going to start your period like really really soon! I got the same thing a few days before my period. it's really not a big deal but i was kinda scared to. Just be sure to go buy pads or tampons because you'll probably be starting your period soon. :)

  11. thats your period. calm down haha

  12. It's your period sweetie.

Oftentimes the color is dark brown at the start and end of your period, it's just old blood.

Ibuprofen will help a lot with cramps.

  13. Relax. This is pretty normal for your first period. You've gotten it, but it's not a heavy flow yet...things will even out over time. Just let it happen and you'll be fine.

That feeling of having to urinate (even after you go) very very common when your period first starts--and it will be that way as long as you keep having periods, so don't panic about it. It's normal too.

First periods can be irregular, with both bleeding and frequency.
