  1. I think they try to inforce it but they really dont bother anyone.

  2. no its a recommendation thats why it say's no one under 16 SHOULD drive.

  3. no it is not a law.... it is a suggestion designed to keep the manufacturers from being sued by some neglectful parent who alllows a 5 yearold to operate a 700 pound machine. when it rolls over and crushes him to death. Look up Sue Rabe in Oregon. she lost a 10yo son and tried to sue everyone involved and lost. I personally think SHE should have served time for negligent homocide. Thanks to thousands of responsible parents of children who ride motorcycles and ATVs.... the next time a child dies because he or she was riding unsupervised on an ill fitting machine the adults responsible for that child will face charges.

  4. Its a recommendation.  Where I live, kids drive ATV's all the time.  The biggest deaths come from older teens and adults that are trying to show off, than kids.  Anytime a kid is driving an ATV adults should be there to supervise them and before they even ride one they should be taught how to ride one properly, wear a helmet, long pants, and a good pair of riding boots.  Sandles and tennis shoes are not proper riding attire.

  5. Not a law just a recommendation but there are a lot of laws on where they can be used, check with you state.

    Good luck and be safe.

  6. no its not against the law its to protect the company producing the 4 wheelers.  But it is put there for a safety reason so following it is a good idea
