On Deviantart what does the little picture frame with a heart next to it mean?

I noticed on a lot of artists' pages there is one of their works showcased in a special box. Above the work there is a icon of a small photo frame and a heart next to it. What does this mean? And how do I use this feature?

(sorry, I know I asked a similar question but I deleted it because it didn't get any answers).

When a person 'features' a piece of artwork, it appears on the user's profile with the symbol you're talking about.

If you want to use it you have to go to 'edit profile', then 'user page display'. Under the section called "User Page Elements" there's menu thing that says Featured Deviation, and you pick it from there.
