On EBay, Is it illegitimate.....?

To claim you are a UK seller when you are from Hong Kong?

I ask because I recently purchased a laptop adaptor from what I thought was a UK seller, but 3 weeks later I received a TV arial!!!! I am so annoyed! I have been without my laptop for 10 days now and have to use the rubbish PC downstairs.

I am not prepared to pay for it and they insist that I cannot have my arial refunded! I need to throw some legal talk into it so they play ball! I want a refund plus my laptop adaptor free-of-charge.

one thing for sure your definitely not going to get your laptop adapter free of charge that's just not how ebay works if you want you can make a complaint through ebay saying that the item you received was not the one referenced but even then there might not be much you can do but give them a bad review

I'm assuming you paid with paypal. stop the charge you can do this. last year I sold some 2nd hand baby clothes, made a spelling mistake in one of the brand names, the woman who bought the item (for 99p) then used this as an excuse to stop payment with paypal and she never returned the goods.

First of all if the sales add stated it was  selling a laptop adaptor and you received an aerial then contact the seller and inform them that the purchase you made was for a laptop  adaptor not an aerial and you need a refund or a replacement.

If you have no success contact ebay and complain.

If you paid through Pay pal contact them and explain   requesting   a refund

If what they sent to you was not what the listing said it was then yes it is illegitimate and you could take it up with eBay's Buyer Protection. Also if they claim they are from UK but are from Hong Kong, then that is also fraudulent. I would take it up with eBay's buyer protection if they will not cooperate with you.

File a complaint with Paypal - they will put your money on hold and investigate - if found in your favor they will refund you your money in full - the supplier will not give you an adaptor but you can leave a stinking feedback to warn other potential buyers of this fake company

did you use pay pal???if so try to claim, if not report them to e bay.
