I don't think there is any question that the top three Yankees of all time are:

1. Babe Ruth

2. Mickey Mantle

3.  Lou Gehrig

However I never saw Ruth or Gehrig.  In my life time Mantle would still be on my list but I'd have to add the following two players because I've had the chance to see their careers first hand.
